Why INsoul?

Durable

Generally, INsoul will be durable and is expected to last for more than 1 year with regular use. Silicone used in the product’s skeleton is extremely durable, and unlikely to suffer damage from wear and tear. The magnet is expected to last for long periods of time, however its magnetism will decrease over time, but it would be a negligible decrease overall. Also, the metal parts in the product such as the copper wires and the springs are able to sustain long periods of use. The connecting wires itself will have a rubber tubing to prevent the copper wires from sustaining damage from external sources.  The batteries can be recharged for more than 2000 times, thus being able to last long. When the batteries have reached their charging limits, only a change of batteries is needed. Also, we chose to use protected batteries as they would not dysfunction in case of too large voltage passing through, unlike non-protected batteries. The protected batteries have almost the same dimensions as the non-protected ones, and can still fit into AA-sized battery holders.

Safe

Water-proofing

Water may enter INsoul when it is raining or at any water-logged area, and water is a good conductor of electricity. This can potentially negatively affect the safety of users and functions of INsoul. Electrical energy could leak and electrocute the user. In addition, INsoul, which works on the basis of electricity, could cease to function when in contact with water. Thus, we decided to have INsoul’s hard covering made of silicone, which is a water-proof material, to prevent water from entering INsoul, and electricity from leaking out of INsoul.

Electrical Insulation

The connecting wires in INsoul are insulated with rubber. This prevents users from direct contact with the electric current when retrieving batteries, preventing them from encountering accidental electrocution. Moreover, the non-conducting property of rubber prevents electricity from leaking in the case of minor dampness in INsoul which could result from condensation of air within INsoul due to temperature changes. This maximizes the efficiency of INsoul. The copper wires are subjected to minimal wear and tear as rubber is a rather sturdy material. These prolong the life of INsoul, allowing users to use it for as long as possible, without having to buy a new one due to dysfunction, greatly increasing their benefits over costs for using and purchasing INsoul in the long run.

Magnetic Field Insulation

INsoul is magnetically insulated to prevent external magnetic objects from being attracted to the Samarium Cobalt magnet in INsoul. This is done via the coating of steel layer on the inner surface area of INsoul via electroplating to prevent magnetic field from escaping to the outside of INsoul. This precaution is taken so that sharp and large magnetic objects that could hurt users physically would be prevented from flying to users at high speeds, ensuring the safety of users. In addition, people and property around users can be protected, with the surrounding magnetic materials staying where they should be, instead of being displaced from their original positions. This promotes the safety of the people around users and the users themselves, and prevents the destruction of property around users.
